How I came into relationship with Jesus Christ
I accepted Christ at the age of 10 and was baptized at Macedonia M.B. Church, Perry Rd, Memphis, Tn., by the late Rev. James Shipp. I attended and grew up in the Pilgrim Rest M.B, 1484 Pillow St. Memphis, Tn., under the late Rev. J.L. Lindsey and then the late Rev. J.K. Pickens Sr.
How I came to Fullview Missionary Baptist Church
I had served four years in the Air Force and was working for the U.S. Postal Service and attending Mid-South Bible College, when I received an invitation to do a “trial sermon” at Fullview Church during the summer of 1984. After meeting several times with the leaders of the church I was called to pastor the congregation in October 1984.
What I do at Fullview Missionary Baptist Church
As pastor I oversee all church activities, services, and functions.
Why I do what I do
I love seeing people build relationships with neighbors who don’t know Jesus. I love seeing those neighbors become Christ followers and disciple makers.
