Reverend Warrie Williams

With a mission of soul winning and bringing people to Christ, Reverend Warrie Williams is committed to the Word and work of God.

Rev. Williams believes compassion is the critical component to serving God’s people. Selected and approved by the Fullview Church Board as Interim Pastor in March of 2021, his deep connection to Fullview Missionary Baptist began more than 3 decades ago.

The Williams family joined Fullview in 1988 and quickly became active in the congregation. Rev. Williams began teaching Sunday School, helped to start the Prayer Ministry and Door-to-Door canvassing to bring souls to Christ and advance the Kingdom of God. He was a member of the Men’s Choir and also organized tutoring services for the youth.

After more than a decade of serving various roles as a faithful congregant, Williams knew God was calling him to do more.

Williams answered the call to preach in the summer of 1999. One year later, Williams was licensed to preach under the pastoral ministry and teaching of Pastor Walter L. Peggs Sr.  And in 2002, Williams was officially ordained as a minister.

Rev. Williams took on a number of leadership roles as a newly-minted preacher, including The Outreach Ministry at Calvary Rescue Mission, which helps to spiritually guide men rebounding from various hardships of life. Rev. Williams leads Fullview’s New Members Orientation- welcoming new families into the Fullview flock. Williams also leads the Married Couples Ministry with his wife Carolyn.

In 2008, Reverend Williams became the very first Assistant Pastor in the history of Fullview Missionary Baptist Church. He was nominated for the position by then pastor, Walter L. Peggs Sr. and served as Fullview’s second-in-command.

In his current role as Interim Pastor, Reverend Williams is committed to preaching and teaching the principles of Jesus Christ, expanding internal services to members, and elevating outreach ministries locally and abroad. He’s focused on developing and engaging our youth, utilizing the talent and expertise God has placed at Fullview and leading the congregation in unity of the Faith. These commitments all connect to Fullview’s mission of equipping saints for service through ministry.

Williams received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History with a Minor in Political Science from Albany State University. He then attended the University of Georgia and completed two-year coursework for the Master’s Program in Political Science and Administrative Labor Law.

Community activism and civil rights advocacy have played major roles in Rev. Williams’ life journey. He served in leadership capacities for the Urban League, the NAACP and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He currently serves on the Kimberly Clark Credit Union Board of Directors and on the City of Bartlett’s Industrial Development Board working alongside the Mayor of Bartlett and City Council on infrastructure allocations.
